M&E Global is a defence contractor undertaking services on complex military equipment and aircraft for UK and US contractors. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Non-Destructive Inspection Technician to join our team.

The role

Based in Palmerola International Airport, Honduras you’ll get to work alongside our dedicated workforce on a US Military base.

This role is a fantastic chance for you to further develop your skills as a Non-Destructive Inspection Technician, working in an exciting environment.

Knowledge and Skills Required

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to fulfill each of the following essential duties:

• Determine test method and prepare fluids and parts for nondestructive inspection.

• Interpret nondestructive inspection test results and provide information about defects to repair center.

• Analyze wear metal content reports on engine lubricating oil and other fluids and recommend corrective action.

• Establish radiation areas for radio graphic operations.

• Compute and monitor personal exposure areas for radio graphic operations, and monitor personnel exposure data.

• Perform nondestructive inspection on structures, components, and systems.

• Detect flaws such as cracks, delamination’s, voids, processing defects, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radio graphic, optical, and ultrasonic test equipment.

• Determine metallurgical information of components according to alloy, temper, conductivity, and associated factors.

• Operate, maintain, and inspect nondestructive equipment.

• Perform operator maintenance and service inspections on shop equipment and tools.

• Ensure lock out and tag out procedures are accomplished prior to maintenance on equipment.

• Perform silver recovery functions.

• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste and materials.

• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.

• Must have: Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, Penetrant and Ultrasonic

• 12 month rolling contract.

• 48-hour working week Monday-Friday.

• Fortnightly pay is extremely competitive.

• All tools will be included on this contract.
